After government employment, the Central Bank offers excellent news for job seekers looking for banking positions. In the case of bank recruitment, Bangladesh Bank has loosened the age restriction by lowering the maximum candidate age limit by 39 months.
On November 2, instructions were provided in a circular that was posted on the Bangladesh Bank website.
The announcement states that the candidate's maximum age will be established up to March 25, 2020, for appointment in the bank on June 30, 2023. Until June 30, 2023, applicants who were 30 years old on March 25, 2020, will also be allowed to apply for bank employees.
The notification also stated that the banks that were unable to publish the circular for direct recruitment due to the Covid-19 situation had been instructed to take the necessary steps by setting the maximum age limit of the candidates on March 25, 2020, in the recruitment circular to be published until June 30, 2023.
Under the authority granted by Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act of 1991, this directive was issued. The notice further said that this directive will take effect right away.
The Ministry of Public Administration had previously issued a directive on September 22 of this year waiving the 39-month maximum age restriction for all government employment (except BCS).
The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order lowering the age requirement for applicants for government jobs in two phases as a result of the coronavirus. A total of 21 months' worth of age relaxation is then granted. But BCS is exempt from this age relaxation.
